We invite young researchers in the field of ore deposit geology to the GOOD Meeting 2021 at the TU in Clausthal.
The annual conference aims to connect young professionals including BSc, MSc and PhD students and early career PostDocs, from all disciplines in ore deposit geology. All participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their ongoing research or previous work with an audience on a level playing field. Plenary speaker will be Prof. Max Wilke (Universität Potsdam).

Registration and abstract deadline: 29.09.2021
Ice breaker: 06.10.2021, 6 pm (CUTEC Forschungszentrum, TU Clausthal)
Welcome note and keynote talk: 07.10.2021, 10 am (CUTEC Forschungszentrum, TU Clausthal)
Seminar (ore microscopy): 08.10.2021, afternoon (10 participants; Inst. Disposal Res., TU Clausthal)
Field trip: 09.10.2021, 9 am (meeting point Adolph-Roemer-Straße 2A, TU Clausthal), vein-type deposits of the Upper Harz, EUR 20 (including transport and lunch). Maximum 20 participants.
Registration & Abstracts
The conference fee is EUR 40 payable by bank transfer (cash payments is possible onsite). Included in the fee is a printed copy of the abstract volume, a lunch option and cold and hot drinks. Students who are members of the DMG and not based in Clausthal may be eligible for a EUR 50 travel grant. The registration form and the abstract template can be found in the attachments. Further information on abstract guidelines can be found in the template itself. Please send your completed registration form and abstract to jonas.alles@tu-clausthal.de (abstract deadline see above).
Payment details will be provided once we have received your registration form. Please make sure you indicate if you want to join the seminar (ore microscopy) and/or the field trip (additional fee of EUR 20 for the field trip).
Presentation Format
We invite you to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. You can indicate your preferred presentation format in the registration form.
Oral Presentations
Oral presentations are 15 minutes plus 3 minutes for questions.
Poster Presentations
Posters are on display for the full length of the conference. Please attend your poster during the poster sessions. The size of each poster must not exceed A0 portrait format (84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm high).
